ABOUT OPEN DOOR BAPTIST CHURCH
Our first service was March 6, 1994. We began with a handful of believers and a goal to see the lost come to Christ. We leased a store front at 2125 S.W. 3rd St. Within a year, we leased a second building to house our Sunday School. At the end of two years we had grown to 40 members. By the end of the fourth year, we had out grown the store front building. Plans were put into action and by God's grace we were able to build a new building with seating capacity of 140.
We held our first service on April 12, 1998 in our new building with 140 in attendance. In 2003 we completed work on a Family Life Center for fellowships and Sunday School classrooms. In the fall of 2005 we completed a remodel of our sanctuary to comfortably seat 210. God has truly opened the windows of Heaven and poured us out a blessing we cannot contain. By God's grace and goodness, our vision is becoming a reality.
